DELIVERING RESULTS FOR CONNECTICUT FAMILIES & COMMUNITIES

Chris Stewart is delivering results for Connecticut families, farmers, and communities. See his work supporting local agriculture, strengthening caregiver training, protecting animal welfare, and improving online safety.
Delivering Aid to Farmers (P.A. 26-75)
I voted yes on this bill that offers relief to farmers and keeps
land values stable. It creates a Modernization Grant Program that
will help Connecticut farmers invest in equipment, infrastructure,
and operational upgrades.
Homemaker Companion Training (P.A. 26-50)
I supported this bill for homemaker-companion agencies to provide
at least eight hours of paid training to both their new and current
employees on certain topics, such as identifying abuse and best
practices in personal hygiene, from a list of programs approved by the
Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) commissioner.
Animal Welfare Legislation (P.A. 26-112)
I voted in favor of this bill to support animal welfare by helping
people in domestic violence situations find safe care options for
their companion animals, and by creating a working group to
explore better funding for the animal population control program.
Improving Online Safety (P.A. 26-15)
Legislation was passed creating civil remedies and a private right
of action for victims of non-consensual synthetic intimate images.
It also authorizes the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office to
act against platforms that fail to remove such content after being
notified. As AI expands, our residents need protection.
