Gov. John Dempsey Readiness Center (P.A. 26-97)

In May, the House and Senate passed this bill to name the Connecticut
National Guard Readiness Center complex in honor of Governor John
Dempsey, a past governor and former state representative of the great
town of Putnam.
There were past and present town officials and General Assembly
members, including our House delegation here in the Quiet Corner from
both sides of the aisle, who helped move this bill through the Veterans’
Committee and through the General Assembly.
I was proud to co-sponsor this legislation that honored a man who meant
so much not just to Putnam, but across Northeastern Connecticut and
our entire state.
